John Ritter: Dead at 54 "Three's Company's" John Ritter died yesterday at 54. Although he was best known for that inane sitcom, I saw him at the Kennedy Center in A Dinner Party, and he was excellent. Oddly enough, that production of the play also had the guy who played "The Fonz," and he was terrible! To the cast members who worked with Mr. Ritter: I am so sorry for your loss; this has made me so sad. I don't know if the pain will ever go away. I wish I could have thanked him for all the years he made me laugh. He was the best. My wife and I both send our deepest sympathy to his friends and family.
