September 10, 2003Robert Samuelson: Simpleton Post ColumnistI'm considering the creation of a blog devoted simply to criticism of the opinion-editorial columns written by Robert J. Samuelson of the Washington Post. He seems to write about free speech frequently, but only in defense of large corporate interests. The free speech interests of employees, students, and other humans don't appear to be within his areas of self interest. His recent works include a poorly-reasoned pieces on campaign finance reform, media concentration, and free "speech". These columns are rife with fallacies of relevance and rationality. In fact, there are good conservative arguments on all of these topics, but Samuelson always seems to find the dumb ones. How in the world do people like this get regular columns in good newspapers?
