THE STUDENT BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA THROUGH ITS ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

 Whereas, the Student Government Association on behalf of the University of Georgia
 Student Body has been made aware of the request to have the proposed Student
 Learning Center named in honor of Charlayne Hunter-Gault and the late Dr.
 Hamilton E. Holmes.
 Whereas, Hamilton E. Holmes and Charlayne Hunter-Gault helped to desegregate the
 University of Georgia in the Winter of 196 1.
 Whereas, naming the proposed student learning center in honor of these two graduates will
 prove that the University of Georgia is moving forcefully toward diversity.

 BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
 The Student Government Association on behalf of the Student Body, requests that the proposed
 Student Learning Center be named in honor of Charlayne Hunter-Gault and Hamilton E. Holmes.
