THE STUDENT BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA THROUGH ITS ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

 Whereas, the students of the University of Georgia have a vested interest in having
 democratic control of the student fees of which they pay.
 Whereas, the structure of the fees committee does not at this time appoint all the members
 through a democratic process where the students could vote on who they want
 allocating their fees.
 Whereas, other Universities of the same size and enrollment as the University of Georgia in
 the southeast have fees committees successfully run by democratic institutions
 such as SGA.

 SGA(Bill #11-05) BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
 The Student Government Association on behalf of the student body, requests that the Student Government Association Treasurer will Co-Chair the Student Fee Allocation Committee with a representative from student affairs.
 Before serving of the Student Fee Allocation Committee, all selected students will take a more extensive and thorough training session on the traditions, organization, structure, history, and accounting procedures of the Student Fee Allocation Committee.
 Only current SGA Senators will be eligible to serve as voting members on the committee who will be nominated by the President of the Student Government Association and confirmed by the Senate.
 The Vice-President for Student Affairs will have veto-power over the total allocation of the budget.
