Senate Bill #23

Whereas the Student Government Association's purpose is to act as an organized voice for the students of the University of Georgia, and whereas we have obtained strong opinions from the students who express the need to keep the academic dishonesty process unchanged, and whereas the overall statistics show that there has been fair and equal treatment of students from the present policy, and whereas the newly proposed policy lacks the restrictive guidelines needed to insure fairness to the accused and also takes away the previous right to have an attorney present, we'strongly feel and recommend that the process of adjudicating cases of student academic dishonesty should remain-as is.
