WHEREAS, it is with great interest that the Student Government Association, on behalf of the University of Georgia student body, has knowledge of an impending request of compensation through student fees for elected members of the Student Government Association; and,
WHEREAS, it is a great honor to serve our fellow peers as an elected member of the Student Government Association; and,
WHEREAS, it is greatly encouraged for volunteer members to participate within the Student Government Association; and,
WHEREAS, accepting any compensation through student fees for our services, whatsoever, would be a great dishonor as an elected member of the Student Government Association; and,
WHEREAS, accepting any compensation through student fees for our services, whatsoever, would greatly discourage volunteer members from participating within the Student Government Association.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Student Government Association of the University of Georgia will not accept any compensation through student fees for our services, whatsoever, and is greatly honored to serve our fellow peers as an elected member of the Student Government Association.
