THE STUDENT BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA THROUGH ITS ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

 Whereas, it has been with great interest that the Student Government Association,
 on behalf of the University of Georgia student body, has been made aware
 of the request to re-name the SPACenter the Eugenia A. Ramsey Student
 Physical Activities Center; and,
 Whereas, this re-naming recognizes and honors the unsurpassed generosity of
 Bernard and Eugenia Ramsey to student programs in the past; and,
 Whereas, Mr. Ramsey has indicated he is planning to contribute a large endowment
 for the operation of the SPACenter, and,
 Whereas, it seems appropriate that the new name includes the name given to the
 building by the students who paid the majority of the construction funds,
 as well as the name of the largest overall supporter of the University of
 Georgia, therefore:

 (SGA 08-01) BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Student Government Association endorses the naming of the facility as the Eugenia A. Ramsey Student Physical Activities Center, with the understanding that Bernard Ramsey's name will be added to the building title after he is deceased.
