PROPOSAL FOR NEW UNIVERSITY SIGNS

THE STUDENT BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA THROUGH ITS ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

Whereas, the students of the University are interested in maintaining the beauty,of our campus; and,

Whereas, the students recognize and appreciate that all the signs on campus here at the University were standardized some years ago, a significant achievement; and,

Whereas, it has been often commented that the University could establish more aesthetically pleasing "University of Georgia" entrance signs on North Campus to match the beauty of that area; and

Whereas, an improvement could be made on these signs at all entrances to the University, on College Station Road, and on Baxter Hill at Brumby for a more impressive look to visitors during the Olympics and into the future.

The Student Government Association on behalf of the Student body, request that thre Physical Plant Department research and hopefully erect new University of Georgia entrance signs befitting of our historic and beautiful campus.
