Under Article VIII, section two (Expulsion) of the Student Government Constitution, sub-section (A) reads: Any officer or senator shall be subject to expulsion after two unexcused absences from Senate meetings during one term of office. Pending two readings before the senate, a two-thirds vote by the senate and a general student body ratification, the following amendment will become effective, immediately:

"Any officer or senator shall be subject to expulsion after four unexcused absences from Senate meetings during one term of office."

Instead of giving senators less than one unexcused absence per quarter, they will now be allowed 1.3 unexcused absences per quarter during their term.
