 The student body of The University of Georgia through its elected members of the Student Government Association does hereby resolve:

 Whereas, it has been with great interest that the Student Government Association, on behalf of the University of Georgia student body, has been made aware that Freshmen on campus have special needs and interests which can be expressed only through their direct voice; and,

 Whereas, the Student Government Association wishes to include the ideas and opinions of Freshmen in Student Government activities and decisions; and,

 Whereas, the opinions and advice of University of Georgia Freshmen would have a positive impact on the Student Government Association, the Freshmen class, and the student body, therefore

 BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Student Government Association hereby creates the Freshman Board to act as a representative voice of the Freshman Class.

 Be It Resolved That, Upon the passage of this bill the Student Government Association will begin the process of incorporating into the by-laws the official and permanent existence of the Freshmen Board to be completed before the end of the current term of the Student Government Association; also,

 Be it Resolved That; A Freshman Board for the 1996-97 school year will be officially sponsored by the Student Government Association and will exist under the direction of the Internal Affairs Committee; also

 Be It Resolved That; Necessary funding for the establishment and promotion of the Freshman Board shall be granted upon permission of the Executive Committee; also

 Be It Resolved That; The Freshman Board will be selected by the following process A: Application B: Interview by Internal Affairs C: Slate by Internal Affairs D: Approval by Senate

 Be It Further Resolved That; The Freshman Board shall consist of a number of no fewer than 9 and no more than 15. The Freshman Board will elect a secretary and president from within its membership. The president shall chair the Freshman Board and act as a non-voting member of the Executive Committee of the Student Government Association.
