Pursuant ot section 7 of "Aculture of Honesty", the students of the University of Georgia submit the following Honor Code for approval by the University Council.

Honor Code

I will be academically honest in all of my Academic work and will not tolerate Academic Dishonesty of others.

Administration of Honor Code

"A Culture of Honesty" establishes a fair "Acadendc Honesty System" and fair "Procedures for Adjdicating Dishonest Cases." First, a panel conducts an initial review after the filing of a charge of academic dishonesty. Second, a hearing Is held for all cases not dismissed by the initial review panel. Third, a student may appeal the decision of the hearing panel to an appeal panel. All of these panels are made up of 3 students and 2 faculty members. The System and Procedures in "A Culture of Honesty" shall continue to apply to this Honor Code.

Education About Honor Code

In connection with process of applying to the University, a procedure will be implemented to assure that each applicant Is notified in writing about this Honor Code. Further, a procedure will be implemented to assure that all new students are educated about this Honor Code and sign a copy of It.

Adoption of Honor Code by Students

The students of the University of Georgia hereby enact this Honor Code to preserve and enhance the quality of the academic culture of the University.

Meaning of Terms in Honor Code

The terms "academic honesty" and "academic dishonesty" as used above shall have the same meanings stated in "A Culture of Honesty."
