      The minutes of the meeting of April 26 were distributed and approved


      Jay Biles presented the Election Committee's report: ballots were distributed to the Senate in order to elect new senators to the vacant seats. The election procedure was explained. Voting took place by secret ballot. Votes were counted by President Manis and Mr. Cochran.


      Chris Cockfield announced new parliamentary procedure guidelines. These guidelines will be distributed to the Senate at a later date.


      William Cantrell presented the Budget Committee's report: Copies of the budget were distributed to each senator. The budget is currently under deliberation by Student Affairs.


      Kelly Reeves presented the Bylaws Committee's report: Article II, section 4, (resignations) passed unanimously.


      A retreat for senators to work together is scheduled for May 28 & 29 at Lake Lanier.
