Lobbying will be our largest focus during this year. The
position of Assistant to the President for Legislative
Lobbying has been created to work with all committees in
the Senate and with other organizations to coordinate
lobbying efforts. Holly thomas has been chosen from the
Senate to fill this position.
C PRESIDENT PRO TEM
1 . Remember that office hours are mandatory and Senators
must also chek in by the office two other times during the
week.
D. SECREIARY
1. Please remember to turn in all excuses for missed meetings
or office hours prior to the event.
2. Please try to be on time to meetings.
E. TREASURER
1 . Working with Mr. Cochran on budget.
VI. COMMITTEE REPORTS
A. ACADENHC AFFAIRS
1. Input needs to be obtained from studetns and provided to
University Council and the administration.
Ile task force on academic dishonesty is continuing to meet.
We will probably be sending out another letter to faculty,
urging them to stress the importance of academic honesty to
their students.
If anyone has any information on attendance policies during
drop/add days, please contact Troy Von Kutzleben.
4. Samantha Anderson will be meeting with the Red and Black
on Thursday to disucss a proposal from last year concernin a
period of "dead days" befor exams.
B. =RNAL AFFAIRS
1 . We are still waiting for Dr. knapp to approve the proposed
changes to the constitution.
