2. Each candidate was given two minutes to speak on his/her

behalf, after which they were asked to leave the hall for

voting.

3. The president pro tem explained the interview and election

procedure. The questions asked in the interview were read.

Based on the interviews, the committee slated Carol Ann

Whaley.

4. Carol Ann Whaley was elected to fill the position by secret

ballot.
