SENATE MEETING NUMBER ONE

I. Call to Order

Ii. Open Forum

Heath Garrett spoke about olympic officials visiting campus concerning the tennis bid on May 20. He passed around petitions for the senators to have signed in order to show student support.


III. Senators absent excused were Hirata. Senators absent unexcused were Akin, Carter, Celis, Darden, Golomb, Grant, and Shepherd.


IV. A. President - cabinet appointments, committees, passed around sheet for addresses, policy of absences on page five of constitution, page three of bylaws that states SGA senators must attend all meetings and two unexcused absences leads to expulsion. Tuesday, May 14, is the Student Activities Fair at the Tate Center Plaza. SGA will have a table at the fair. She reminded everyone to sign up for cabinet positions.




V. New Business

B. Will Cochran - suspend bylaws and accept petitions, signatures due May 15.

C. Anyone on Student Advisory Council should see Duncan Moseley.
