Mr. Cochran commented that a person cannot head a committee with excessive absences. He encouraged the executive members to address the issue of absences and tell how concerned they have become.


Richard announced that Pauldo Community Center is having a carnival for children and wanted to know if SGA could help fund this event. John informed the members that it was not in the scope of SGA to provide funds, but it could provide manpower.


Richard suggested having a workshop for everyone to get together and have food services cater some inexpensive food, possibly on November 17th.


Mr. Cochran said SGA could have a workshop with food, but not a social function paid for by SGA.


John brought up the idea, instead of having a Senate meeting each week, perhaps, one week have a Senate meeting and the next week a committee meeting.


John announced that restructuring can't go into effect until around spring elections in 1993.


SGA office hours will begin on Wednesday, October 28, 1992. A list will be posted for members to sign up for their office hours.


Andy mentioned that Victoria Young would like to limit the number of General Committee people. There are so many people on the committee who join and then never participate in activities or come to meetings.


William didn't think it would be a good idea to limit the number of people of the General Committee. He felt it is good to have numerous names to call when you need help with something, example voter registration.


William suggested getting Victoria Young to write a form letter to each new committee member to let them know what committee they are on and who they can contact.
