Minutes: Student Govertment Association

April 6, 1993


Under Roll Cal , Senators Nancy DeMetz and Julie Mickle were absent.
Under President's Rel2o , President John Bradberry announced that applications for a representative to the Athletic Association Board of Directors will be available. Also, John asked for a volunteer for the Arch Society screening committee. He also reported on the progress of the poster for campus concerning the recycling locations on campus.

Russ Willard, Chair of the Elections subcommittee, spoke under the President's Report. He asked that senators not running for reelection please see him after the meeting to volunteer as committee members.
Under Vice-President's Report, Vice-President Ashley Disque asked for volunteers to man an SGA table at the Spring Activities Fair on Thursday.
Under Pro Tem's Report, Pro Tem Richard Martin, III, announced that Jason Williams and Stephanie Ware are subject to expulsion due to excessive absences.
Under Secretary's Repo , Secretary Vanlandingham announced that the next SAC conference will be held on April 23-25 at Valdosta State College. Senators interested in attending are to contact him after the meeting.

-Student Life Chair Jay Gemes announced the success of the Escort Van proposal from Dr. Knapp. The proposal allowed for changing the operating hours of the van and to add a van for increased service.
He also announce the decision from Coach Vince Dooley concerning the GA/FLA game location. The decision was to keep the renew the contract to keep the game in Jacksonville. Jay announced a committee meeting after the senate meeting.
-Internal Affairs Chair Richard J. Martin, III announced that the committee will be discussing the Constitution and an Inaugural bill. Internal Affairs is also looking to start a training session for Freshman senators after being elected in Fall.
