THE STUDENT BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA THROUGH ITS ELECTED MEMBERS OF STUDENT SENATE ASSEMBLED DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

Whereas, the official University of Georgia Student Handbook is distributed to every student upon entering the University; and

Whereas, the Student Government Association is the voice of the students at the University, and all University students paying the University Activity Fee are members of the SGA; and

Whereas, the Student Handbook provides information about co-curricular opportunities for students, as well as rights and privileges granted them; and

Whereas, the Student Government Association Constitution, ratified by the students themselves, lists students' rights and privileges as an SGA member;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Student Body of the University of Georgia through its elected members of the Student Senate does hereby recognize the need to promote awareness of the Student Goverment Association and its constitution through the Student Handbook.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the official University of Georgia Student Handbook should include a purpose statement and brief synopsis of the Student Government Association as well as a copy of the Student Government Association Constitution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the SGA formally requests through the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs that the above be added to the Student Handbook.
